Fluoride isn’t just for kids anymore!The ADA Council on Scientific Affairs has recommended using caries risk along with the clinical judgment of the dentist as major criteria in the recommendation for professionally applied fluoride. With additional factors such as dietary challenges, medications, and/or root exposure; adults may benefit from professionally applied fluoride every six months, too. Ask one of our dentists how fluoride can benefit you!! Oral Cancer ScreeningOral Cancer Screening has been a part of hygiene visits for a long time. Hygienists and dentists have a great vantage point to assess the health of the oral tissues with manipulation as well as bright lighting. Until recently, visualization of oral cancer relied on oral cancer screening without any adjuncts. Now, the American Cancer Society has endorsed ViziLite Plus as a viable aid.
